Downtown Orlando Real Estate News

A franchisee for World of Beer Franchising has leased space and expects to open a bar in the Post Parkside

mixed-use building on Central Boulevard in downtown Orlando, constructing a patio that overlooks Lake Eola.

Jim Stuckey, the chain’s director of real estate, said World of Beer had considered the site for more than a year but had added work to do to get the patio. The 5,936-square-foot space will include a somewhat upscale restaurant, separate from the bar.

The location at 435 E. Central Blvd. in downtown Orlando has a strong demographic of 25- to 34-year-olds who rent or own condos nearby.

“Specific to that Lake Eola area, the demographics are very good,” Stuckey said.

The Tampa-based company has 34 locations plus another 36 in the works, either leased, under contract or under option. Typically the bar chain does not put two franchisees within five miles of each other, which means the Orlando area may now be saturated, with locations near the University of Central Florida and in Altamonte Springs, the Dr. Phillips section of southwest Orange County, and downtown Orlando.
